Frequently Asked Questions

We know that choosing a residential treatment facility can be a difficult process, and we are always here to answer any questions you may have regarding our programs and facilities. Here are the answers to some of the most common questions our clients have for us:

The Basics

Your time at Helix is structured to provide a balance of therapies, experiential activities and private time to decompress and reflect on what you have learned. In the morning you have personal journal time before an individual psychotherapy session with your primary therapist. For the remainder of the day, you participate in therapy groups chosen as part of your customized treatment plan to address your needs. In the evenings, you may enjoy holistic therapies such as yoga, massage, and acupuncture, to help you relax and engage your body in healing practices.

Our facility treats a maximum of six women at a time. This allows us to maintain an intimate environment with plenty of personal attention to ensure you have the best therapeutic experience.

We honor the relationship you have established with your current treatment team and seek to involve them in the way that is most productive for your care. During your assessment process, we will consult with your clinicians to gain a comprehensive understanding of your history and current situation. We welcome your treatment team to play a part in developing your treatment plan, monitoring your progress, and creating an aftercare plan that allows you to build on the valuable work you have done at Helix.

We offer private rooms with private or shared baths, as well as shared rooms with a shared bath.
